You think it's all cute in the morning when you pick up your baby and he smiles and leans in like he's gonna give you a big slobbery open mouth baby kiss, but then he bites your face instead. What the heck?? Can you see those vampire bite welts on my face! Ouch!! (Sorry about the bag lady picture, but this just happened this morning and I had to share. Haha!)

Hayden is now 9 1/2 months old, and I thought I'd add a few more pictures of him, since they grow out of baby-ness so fast! He's getting so big. He's crawling, cruising, pulling himself up and standing. And his got the best "geeky" teeth! (You know what I'm talking about...the adorable two front teeth that just look so big when they come in on babies. Love it!) This is for you, Grandma!

Thanksgiving: "I'm thankful for....DisneyWorld!!!"

We were over at Ryan and Windy's house for Thanksgiving, and they surprised us with a Thanksgiving "gift." A weekend at DISNEYWORLD with them! We went home, packed our bags, came back and slept at their house until about 4am, when we all took off to Disneyworld. It was so amazingly nice of them, and we had a blast!!!! We got there, the very day after Thanksgiving, checked into our hotel, went swimming for a while, then spent the rest of the evening at downtown Disney, visiting shops, eating dinner, and some pretty scrumptious candy apples and yummy chocolate truffles. Then we went back to the hotel to get some sleep, and Ryan, Windy, Caitlin, and Britta gave Brianna and Sydney little princess dress-ups for them to where at Disneyworld the next day! So we went to sleep, and woke up bright and early the next day to spend the whole day at Disneyworld. Sydney was dressed up as Cinderella, and Brianna was Snow White. They are adorable little princesses! The day was spent, filled with as many rides as they could go on, and the highlight for the girls was meeting all the princesses and other disney characters. We tried to meet everyone. It was magical! Especially when evening came and we got to see the electric parade and the firework show, and Cinderella's castle all decorated for Christmas. Beautiful! Fun! Exciting! Magical! We were all exhausted by the end of the day. Sydney got a refreshing nap during the firework show, so on the bus ride back to the hotel when the rest of us were struggling to stay awake, Sydney was chatting our ears off, telling us every single thing about her wonderful day at Disneyworld. It was hilarious! She didn't stop even when we got back, got in bed, and were all trying to sleep! Eventually, we did get her to be quiet, and we all got a much needed night of rest, before our drive home the next day. Good times!

Breakfast...Yum!

This spinach drink is what we've been having for breakfast almost everyday since we've come out here. We got the idea from Ryan and Windy, although we have adapted it a little. We use 1 cup of frozen fruit. Our favorite is this Spectrum Blend from Costco, with peaches, strawberries, blueberries, pinapple, and honeydew. The 3 berry mix from costco is really good, too, if you don't mind the seeds. Then we add about 3/4 cup of any flavor yogurt, we use peach yogurt, and 3/4 cup orange juice, and about 2 cups of spinach. I just grab 2 big handfuls and throw it in. Blend it all up, and walah! It is really good and a great way to get a bunch of spinach into your daily diet. My girls love it and they drink it everyday too. Get this...Jared has lost 15 lbs since we moved!!! He's a hotty!

We went to our ward halloween party and had a blast this year. Brianna and Sydney wanted to where the same costumes as last year. Hayden was Quasimodo and I was Esmerelda. We also had our friend Theresah, from our apartments, with us. Hayden looked hilarious! We got all sorts of laughs with him. He just hung out in my arms, just content to sit there with his hunchback shoulders. He loved his BillyBob teeth. I only put them in his mouth for pictures or when people wanted to see it because otherwise he druled everywhere and they eventually would fall out, but everytime I would put them in his mouth he would smile and start gumming them. He really looked pitiful, though. People didn't know whether to laugh or cry. We did Trunk or Treating and our ward really got into it. They had all decorated their cars. It was quite the spook alley. At the end, Jared and I laughed so hard we cried when someone gave Sydney the scare of her life (poor Sydney). There was a huge spider remote control toy that someone had walk up to Sydney and it scared her so bad!!! I really felt bad that she was so scared, and yes, I did comfort her, but Oh My Gosh, it was so funny!

Playin' at the Park

Here in Georgia, there are parks everywhere. We've been enjoying visiting different parks each week. They all have beautiful trails to walk, through forested areas or around lakes. The girls love trying to catch the squirrels along the trail, but just scaring them away. Hayden is chill, as always, just hanging out in his stroller. And then, of course, they spend a long time playing on the playground, too. We all get a bit of exercise, enjoy the scenery, and have fun playing. This is one of our favorite things about our new home in Georgia.

As we were driving our van and moving truck to Georgia, we started noticing a TON of smashed froggers everywhere on the road. Poor things! We decided to pull off and let the girls experience the change in environment. We had passed through the familiar Utah and mountainous area, drove through near endless cornfields, and then suddenly we are in a humid and green place totally new to our kids. So we woke them up and went outside to catch FROGS! They were everywhere. The noise of frogs and toads was so loud. The girls were a little apprehensive at first, but then they really got into it. Jared caught one and they got to touch it, then it hopped out of Jared's hands and I laughed my head off watching the girls freak out! They were jumping all over the place. We caught several different kinds of frogs, then hopped back into our vehicles and continued our four day drive to Georgia.

Jared gave Hayden a blessing on August 29th, 2010. One very memorable thing Jared said to him during the blessing was that Hayden came to us at a very important time and that we, as a family, needed him. I feel that is totally true. He is a special child of God, and I feel privileged to be his mother.

Our son, Hayden Michael Loo, was born June 9th, 2010, at 9:06 AM, in American Fork, Utah. He weighed 8 lbs, 10 oz and was 19.5 inches tall. We had a lot of family in town that weekend, and they all wanted me to go into labor and have the baby while they were there. Unfortunately for them, Hayden decided to come the day after they stopped trying to induce me and traveled back to their homes. Of course after they left, I got a stomach bug that put me into labor. So after hours of throwing up and having contractions, I went to the hospital and they gave me wonderful anti-nausea medicine and told me I was going to have a baby soon. After that, Jared and I had a quiet night in the hospital, thanks to an epidural, and our sweet Hayden joined us in the morning. Brianna and Sydney came a little later and fell in love with their new baby brother. Hayden was born with an amazing calm and content attitude. I have never seen a baby as quiet and happy as he has constantly been. It is a testimony that Heavenly Father knows us all and our individual needs! He knew that I have my hands full with my beautiful, vivacious, and very active daughters, and that a calm and quiet baby would be just what I needed in order to stay sane! And now we have three children! I am so grateful for all of them, and for a wonderful husband who just happens to also be the best dad in the world!

Why must my children take a couple bites out of every apple instead of just eating one whole apple??? I just cut them some apple slices, too, and they only ate a couple slices of that apple as well. You think it's a grass is greener kind of thing? Maybe they were thinking that the next apple just had to taste better than the one they were eating. I don't get it.

Jared got Jazz tickets at work for being one of the top 4 in sales for the week. We were on the 14th row. It was awesome!

Sydney's First Birthday!

Big 1 year old! Happy Birthday Sydney! Sydney loves this toy, but screams in frustration when it flips over and no longer makes the popping sound when she moves it around. Sydney was glad to have Uncle Joe, Aunt Ashley, and Grandma & Grandpa Phillips with her for her first birthday party!

Unlike Brianna, Sydney had no qualms about digging in and getting dirty while eating her first birthday cake.

Trick or Treat!

Brianna was so excited to be Tink for Halloween and go Trick or Treating, but when we were going out the door, she decided she didn't want wings anymore. Someone asked her if she was a princess and she said, "No, I Brianna." I guess she just knows there's no point dressing up as someone else when you're already that beautiful!

With these two girls, Trick or Treating was short-lived, but worth it. Brianna is now showing me how good she is at going potty in the bathroom, because her Halloween Candies are now Potty Treats. Sydney was just going along for the ride. There really were not that many Trick or Treaters going around in Alpine when we were out. It was practically a ghost town. But Brianna did get to see a few friends all dressed up and she immediately ran over to socialize and show off how cute she was.

Getting Excited For Halloween!

Brianna is getting ready for Halloween. She decided that she wanted to be Tinkerbell and picked out her costume herself . She is very excited. So look for the cutest Tink you ever saw, here in a couple weeks! She has also been dressing up as a witch with a hat and she learned a new song. This video is right after she learned it, but she has now been singing it for almost a week, straight.

Phillips Family Reunion at Jordanelle

This year we had a blast at Jordanelle over Labor Day weekend for our Phillips Family Reunion. We camped out at this beautiful lake and state park. Most of the Phillips family thought we were crazy for getting out first thing in the morning to go wakeboarding in the cold water. I admit, it was pretty chilly out there, but we would put up with that any day to get that beautiful smooth water in the morning. Brianna and Sydney are the cutest little "Boater Babes!" They love to be out on the boat, but don't try to get Brianna in that cold water. We forgot about our camera most of the time ("Why do we always do this?") but we did get these few pictures of Brianna and Jared skipping rocks out on the shore of the lake. Brianna loved it! Overall, it was a great reunion, great people, great food, great fun. And it even came to quite an exciting close, with the storm of a lifetime. We were wondering if we could weather it out for the last night, but when the wind blew down our spring tent in the pouring rain, with news saying the winds could get up to 70 miles per hour, we decided it was time to call it a night, pack up, and go home and drink some hot cocoa. I thought Brianna would be scared of the thunder and pouring rain, but instead I couldn't keep her out of the rain. She had a toy car that she was scooting around the road in the rain. During one of the lulls, the rain had stopped enough to see a huge, full semi-circle rainbow bend over the lake. It was the prettiest rainbow I have ever seen. Breath-taking! After the rain started again, Brianna kept asking for the rainbow. She wanted it to come back.
